Position Statement Under the direction of the Director of Education and in coordination with the other education staff, the education clinical instructor supervises nursing students in the practical application of theory in assigned clinical settings. Key Responsibilities: Demonstrates nursing care and procedures. Contributes to determination of daily student assignments in the clinical unit. Provides oversight of clinical and observational student rotations. Conducts pre and post-conferences with students. Refers unusual/complex problems and health needs to the Site Director. Completes student evaluations. Attends scheduled faculty and in-service meetings for professional organizational functions. Attends school graduations. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Masters degree in Nursing obtained or in progress. Two years of professional nursing experience which may include one as a general staff nurse in an accredited hospital, an accredited nursing home, or as a full-time teacher in a formal program of nursing education. One of the two years should be within the last five years. Active Vermont RN licensure at time of employment with no sanctions nor restrictions required. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. BLS Provider This position iseligible for participation in the RN Clinical Ladder.

    Founded in 1919 by a group of area citizens, Orleans Country Memorial Hospital opened in 1924, the present North Country Hospital, opened in 1974.
