Clinical Informatics Specialist

Position Title: Clinical Informatics Specialist 
Location: Gallup, New Mexico
Duration: FTE (Direct)
Salary: $80k-90k ($10K signing bonus, $5k on first pay period after they begin, and $5k after 6 months of employment.)

The Clinical Informatics Specialist is integral in optimizing the use of health information technology to improve patient care and operational efficiency. This role reports to Director of Information Technology. This role involves designing, implementing, and managing electronic health record (EHR) systems and other health IT solutions. The specialist will work closely with healthcare providers, IT teams, and other stakeholders to enhance data management, interoperability, and system functionality. 

Who we are looking for / Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Technology or equivalent degree is required.
Master’s Degree preferred.
Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in health informatics, EHR management, or a related role.
Minimum of five (5) years’ experience with Cerner or other major EHR systems required.
Healthcare setting experience
Preferably Community Works experience but not required.
Licensure & Certifications:
Current RN license to practice professional Nursing in the State of New Mexico, or equivalent in another state.
Certification in Clinical Informatics (e.g., CPHIMS, CAHIMS) preferred.
Current verification in Basic Life Support is required. If BLS verification is not current upon hire, must be obtained within three (3) months of hire.
Performance Objectives / What you'll be doing:
Leading data analytics initiatives
Developing custom interfaces and reports 
Ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and best practices.
