    Clinical Informatics Analyst

    Support the effective use and ongoing enhancement of Howard Center's electronic health record (EHR) and other clinical information systems. Partner with programs, leaders, and Information Systems to provide user support, develop reports and electronic forms, implement new system functionality, and improve workflows that enhance patient care and ensure compliance with agency, state, and federal requirements. The position also provides user training, coordinates testing and system updates, and serves as a liaison between clinical and technical teams to support effective solutions. Requires in-person, in Burlington VT.

    Responsibilities:

    • Derive quality measures to serve as benchmarks and project goals / priorities; collect and derive processes and clinical document content that serves to define best practices & contribute to clinical quality.  Present measurements to appropriate forums to aid in the understanding of the data and application to organization operations.
    • Act as a functional expert for the EHR system and its use in support of the IT Helpdesk / Support Staff, or on-call / exception handling (new function, feature, program roll-outs, etc.)
    • Evaluate clinical documents (and changes to documents) that serve to define best practices and comply with legal and corporate requirements. Work with clinical input / committees / program leadership toward process redesign / improvements.
    • Lead workflow and document testing, collect feedback from process. Design training plans and content. Conduct train-the-trainer, topical and group training sessions as required.  Coordinated training content with IT Training staff. Create training materials as required.
    • Evaluate workflows (and changes to workflows) that serve to define best practices and comply with legal and corporate requirements. Work with clinical input / committees / program leadership toward process redesign / improvements.
    • Help the organization to set and realize quality improvement and process effectiveness goals through use of the clinical information system / electronic health record (EHR) system, and through required changes in design of clinical workflows, documents and reports.

    Requirements:

    • Participation in the design / implementation of an EHR system in a mental health organization.
    • Experience with data analysis tools such as Microsoft Access, Excel, etc.

    Structure:

    • Full time 
    • Exempt 
    • Salary starting at $70,321.82
