    Position Summary

    Posting Note: We are seeking an experienced and energetic Clinical Educator to join the East Valley Emergency Department. This role is ideal for a nurse who is passionate about emergency care, education, and preparing teams to deliver exceptional care in a fast paced environment. You will partner with bedside staff, nurse leaders, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams to build clinical excellence and support a culture of continuous learning.

    You will assess learning needs, develop education programs, support onboarding and competency validation, and help staff maintain the knowledge and skills needed to care for pediatric emergency patients. This position develops, implements, and evaluates education plans that strengthen clinical practice, improve patient safety, and support high quality care while meeting organizational and regulatory standards.

    This position develops, implements, and evaluates proactive educational plans and programs to address staff and departmental needs to ensure ongoing enhancement and improvement of staff skills, competencies and professional growth in accordance with established standards, requirements and regulations.

    Position Duties

    • Collaborates with colleagues within the educational department to support the departmental strategic plan and ongoing institutional growth.

    • Collaborates with other disciplines and departments as a change agent and participates in the evaluation of outcomes.

    • Engages in ongoing organizational endeavors which support the philosophy and values of Phoenix Children''s, nursing, model of care and professional development of staff.

    • Plans, implements, and evaluates learning opportunities based on evidence using a variety of teaching strategies.

    • Seeks and takes advantage of opportunities to enhance own professional growth and development.

    • Performs miscellaneous job related duties as requested.
