We also provide specialized care for those living with HIV/AIDS.Summary/ObjectiveThe Clinical Director of Adult Medicine position provides medical oversight and patient care planning for comprehensive medical services at The Dimock Center, with a special eye towards our most vulnerable patients. We are looking for an empathetic, growth focused leader whose passion matches ours. The Medical Director seeks continuous improvement in care delivery, quality of care and administrative excellence.Essential FunctionsServe as Clinical Director of Adult Medicine Clinic, responsible for managing clinical care and program planning for the clinic.Maintain oversight and further develop patient care systems for adult medicine, including quality assurance, clinic flow-recall systems, and strategies to improve patient care and increase patient utilization.Review patient utilization and participate in budgetary planning with appropriate accountability.Oversee clinic administration, including staff recruitment, clinic and call scheduling, and general administrative management.Ensure compliance with Joint Commission standards and lead quality improvement initiatives.Provide supervision and support for Providers, Nurses, and Medical Assistants, including teaching, performance reviews, and addressing disciplinary issues.Perform other duties as assigned.CompetenciesExcellent oral and written communication skills.A patient-centered orientation and deep tie to The Dimock Center's mission.Work EnvironmentThis position operates in a clinical setting.Physical DemandsAbility to lift and carry up to 20 pounds. Frequent standing and walking required.Required QualificationsDoctorate in Medicine required.
