Job Description
The Clinical Coordinator provides comprehensive support for clinical education across both undergraduate (pre-licensure) and graduate (advanced practice) nursing programs. This role ensures high-quality clinical placements, compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards, and cultivation of strong partnerships with healthcare agencies.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop, manage, and evaluate clinical placement processes for all nursing students across pre-licensure BSN and APRN graduate tracks. • Identify, approve, and maintain relationships with clinical agencies and preceptors. • Match students to appropriate clinical sites based on program level, learning needs, accreditation requirements, and site availability. • Ensure placements meet state board of nursing, CCNE/ACEN, and certification-body standards. • Monitor student compliance with onboarding requirements. • Serve as the primary contact for students regarding placement processes. • Recruit, orient, and support preceptors for BSN and APRN programs. • Maintain accurate records of clinical hours, site information, and evaluations. • Collaborate with program leadership to ensure clinical experiences support outcomes. • Manage staff responsible for compliance and other related responsibilities. • May travel for site visits.
Shift
Core business hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Extended hours may occur during peak cycles or during travel for site visits.
Minimum Qualifications
A Bachelors degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 6 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.
Preferred Qualifications
• BSN required; MSN preferred • Active RN license • Minimum 3-5 years clinical nursing experience • Knowledge of undergraduate and graduate nursing educational requirements • Experience with UG and GR nursing students • Familiarity with clinical management system • Knowledge of CCNE/ACEN accreditation standards
Anticipated Hiring Range
Salary Range: $86,000 to $91,450 annually Grade: PAT - 012 University Title: Associate Director Student Support Services Internal applicants can determine their university title by accessing the Talent Profile tile in myHR.
