Job Description Summary:
The Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Pediatrics, Division of General Pediatrics at The University of Kansas Medical Center provides high-quality, evidence-based, patient-centered care for hospitalized pediatric patients at The University of Kansas Health System's main campus. This position provides comprehensive evaluation, treatment, and ongoing management of pediatric patients within the inpatient setting and supports the clinical, educational, quality improvement, scholarly, and service missions of the department and division.
In addition to clinical responsibilities, the faculty member actively participates in the education, training, and mentorship of learners, including medical students, residents, fellows, and other trainees. The individual also contributes to departmental and divisional academic activities through teaching, scholarly engagement, quality improvement initiatives, committee service, institutional meetings, and other activities that advance the missions of the department, division, and institution.
