The Clinical Assistant provides both clinical and administrative support within an outpatient practice. This position works closely with providers, patients, and care teams to deliver high-quality patient care while maintaining efficient office operations. Responsibilities include obtaining patient information, assisting with examinations, coordinating care, scheduling appointments, and supporting day-to-day clinical activities

Guthrie''s endocrinology program works closely with the organization''s Diabetes Center, which provides comprehensive management for Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes. This gives Clinical Assistants the opportunity to work in an environment focused on patient education, disease management, and long-term care.
The Sayre Desmond Street Endocrinology clinic includes endocrinologists and advanced practice providers specializing in endocrine and diabetes care. Clinical Assistants are valuable members of this care team and help support patient visits and clinical operations.
Position Summary:
Performs duties of a clinical and clerical nature. Maintains records and applies knowledge and skills to run a full functioning office for one or more Providers in Clinic. Assists professional staff by performing routine duties in caring for patients.
Education, License, Certification:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Experience:
Knowledge of medical terminology, ability to communicate and excellent customer service skills a must. Must be dependable, professional, flexible and able to multi‐task.
