Clinical Assessor - Behavioral Health (LCSW/LPC/LMHC or CADC)
Join our dedicated team as a Clinical Assessor in Behavioral Health, where your expertise will directly impact individuals on their path to recovery. This vital role combines comprehensive client assessments, group facilitation, and individual and family counseling within our ASAM 3.1 and 2.5 levels of care. As a key contributor, you will evaluate medical, psychological, and social factors to determine appropriate levels of care, deliver evidence-based interventions, and support clients through their treatment journey. Your clinical knowledge, compassionate approach, and ability to work effectively in fast-paced, emotionally charged environments will be essential to success in this role.
W2 Hourly Pay Rate: $46.50 per hour
Required Skills:
- Licensure as LCSW, LPC, LMHC, or CADC
- 1-2 years of experience in substance use disorder treatment or behavioral health assessment
- Strong understanding of ASAM Criteria and its application
- Proficiency in conducting comprehensive assessments and documentation
- Excellent interpersonal, clinical interviewing, and crisis management skills
- Knowledge of co-occurring disorders, trauma-informed care, and addiction treatment principles
- Ability to collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams and community partners
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHRs) and regulatory standards (HIPAA, Medicaid)
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience with group facilitation and family counseling
- Additional certifications in CPR, First Aid, or Behavior Management
- Knowledge of cultural competence and trauma-informed approaches
- Experience working within a Recovery Oriented System of Care
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Masters degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Addiction Studies, or related field (Bachelors degree with relevant experience may be considered)
- At least 1-2 years of direct experience in behavioral health or substance use disorder assessment
- Proven ability to deliver trauma-informed care and address co-occurring disorders
Other Requirements:
- Ability to work a 5-day day shift schedule
- Willingness to participate in ongoing professional development (minimum 40 hours annually)
- Successful completion of background checks and regulatory investigations
- CPR, First Aid, and Behavior Management certifications may be required
