Clinical Application Specialists (CAS) act as the key liaison between clinical operations, providers, and information services to support, optimize, andenhance the MEDITECH ExpanseEHR. This role is responsible for ongoing configuration, support, testing, and optimization of ambulatory applications and workflows to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant patient care across the continuum.
The specialist works closely with providers, clinical support teams, leadership, and vendors to translate clinical requirements into effective system solutions. This position plays an essential role in end-user support, workflow design, training, enhancements, upgrades, and issue resolution related to the EHR.
