Description
The Clinical Application Specialist is responsible for providing technical and sales support for ARKRAY clinical laboratory products. This position delivers operator training at customer facilities, provides onsite instrument implementation assistance, serves as a technical liaison, and supports the sales team throughout the pre- and post-sale process.
Essential Responsibilities
- Facilitate onsite customer training for new equipment and laboratory instruments.
- Manage instrument implementation projects and assist customers with instrument verification studies.
- Analyze verification study data, prepare statistical reports, and present findings to customers.
- Complete all required documentation in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Work with internal resources and customers to identify and resolve technical issues.
- Escalate customer complaints to Technical Support and provide all required information in accordance with ARKRAY's escalation and complaint-handling procedures.
- Provide pre- and post-sale technical support as needed, including product demonstrations.
- Ensure new instrument implementations are completed according to established timelines, budgets, and customer satisfaction goals.
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external customers.
- Support and maintain customer satisfaction throughout the implementation and training process.
- Understand organizational goals and execute strategies through defined action plans.
- Perform other reasonably related duties as assigned by management.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in a healthcare-related field required; a degree in Medical Laboratory Science is strongly preferred.
- Current professional certification is strongly preferred.
- Minimum of three years of experience working in a clinical laboratory.
- Previous field-based or customer-facing experience is preferred.
Skills and Knowledge
- Strong technical knowledge of flow cytometry, hematology, or urinalysis is preferred.
- Knowledge of clinical laboratory regulations and compliance requirements.
- Ability to work independently and effectively manage responsibilities in a field-based environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, service-based software, customer relationship management systems, and EP Evaluator.
- Ability to communicate technical information clearly to customers and internal business partners.
- Ability to manage multiple customer implementations, projects, and deadlines.
Travel Requirements
- Extensive travel throughout the United States is required.
- Must reside near a major commercial airport.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to travel frequently by air and automobile.
- Ability to remain standing for extended periods while conducting customer training and product demonstrations.
- Ability to transport and handle training materials and equipment as needed.
