Luther Park Community is looking for just the right person for this unique job! This position offers a lot of variety, challenge and great rewards! The Clinical Administrative Assistant must have 3-5 years of CMA/CNA experience with a minimum of 1 year of nursing home experience. CNA required, CMA preferred or willing to get CMA certification within 6 months of employment. This is a full time position with on-call rotation and the opportunity to pick up extra shifts on the floor. This position provide administrative and clinical support to the Director of Nursing and staff within the Trinity Center. Responsible for maintaining adequate levels of supplies by ordering and stocking for nursing and therapy.
DUTIES
- Complete periodical audit of nursing supply storage rooms, discard expired supplies and keep the units organized and tidy
- Assist admissions personnel as requested
- Obtain pictures of new residents at time of admission
- Schedule resident doctor appointments outside the facility
- Transport or accompany residents to appointments as needed or schedule staff to accompany if you are not available
- Schedule, manage and supervise podiatry, dental and vision appointments at Trinity Center
- Perform scheduling duties in absence of scheduler
- Cover front desk as requested
- Participate in on-call rotation schedule
- Assist with coverage of open shifts for CNA duties as requested
- Audit EMAR/ETAR documentation, notify ADON of non-compliance, call respective staff to complete audit and double check audit to ensure it's complete
- Audit POC documentation for nursing assistants, notify ADON of non-compliance, call respective staff to complete documentation and double check audit to ensure it's complete

Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- CNA required, CMA preferred or willing to get CMA certification within 6 months of employment
- Minimum 3-5 years CMA/CNA experience with minimum 1 year nursing home experience
- Proficient with computer programs including but not limited to Outlook Word, Excel and Point Click Care
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Highly organized
- Time management skills
- Must have valid state of Iowa driver's license and chauffer's license or able to obtain chauffer's license with 90 days of employment
