The Clinical Activation Specialist is the communications link between the Facilities Design & Construction Division and the Client (i.e. Hospital/ Health System Departments), the contractors, suppliers, vendors, design professionals and the State of CT Department of Health. The Clinical Activation Specialist also acts as the primary contact with the YNHH Space Committee and the Bed Implementation Committee for capital projects. Responsibilities include coordination of clinical logistics (systems), phasing, soft cost budgets, and other project components not directly under the purview of Project Managers. This position requires strong leadership skills, but the successful applicant will also have a strong sensitivity to team dynamics and be able to fit into a number of roles throughout the Hospital/Health System. The Clinical Activation Specialist is entrusted with a great quantity of sensitive information that must be documented and also distributed carefully in order to move projects forward. The position also requires the manager to be a resource for many departments needing help with move planning and logistics, budgeting, and scheduling. Effective time management and task prioritization skills are a major requirement. Lines of Authority/Responsibility: The Clinical Activation Specialist reports to the Associate Director of Facilities Design and Construction. Except for administrative and support personnel, no professional or technical personnel report directly to the Clinical Activation Specialist.
