    Job Overview

    Fairview is seeking a Clinic Support Specialist to join the Musculoskeletal team at our Maple Grove Clinic Location . This is an in-person position, full-time, day-shifts typically 8-4:30 pm (possibly some flexibility in end/start time). No weekends. Position may support other similar clinics within the Fairview systems which may require occasional needs to go to another physical locations (Minneapolis, MN).

    This pre-appointment coordination role provides support for patients receiving specialty care at Fairview in our ortho surgery, podiatry, sports medicine, pain management, physical medicine rehab clinics. Coordinates with the providers and the clinical care team to prepare for a successful visit. The Clinic Support Specialist will collect medical records (internall/externally), work in a que system, manage the right fax process and review and distribute incoming mail. Provides all other appointment coordination as needed.

    Responsibilities

    • Coordination of care/information with care team and/or administration
    • Creates and maintains documentation.
    • Coordinates patients' information and/or patient care. Conducts telephone interviews, collects data, assess and prioritize record collection needs.
    • Communicates effectively with other members of the health care team at all levels to ensure effective service.

    Required Qualifications

    • Post high school education in medical related area
    • Prior experience in complex patient scheduling and registration in a clinic setting.
    • 2 years of strong customer service experience.
    • medical terminology skills
