    POSITION SUMMARY

    This position  is vital in ensuring smooth patient flow, accurate information collection, and exceptional service, as well as handling administrative duties involved with coordinating patient and physician schedules. The employee will demonstrate strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a compassionate approach to helping patients.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Answer and manage multi-line phone calls, directing callers or resolving their inquiries independently.
    • Greet and check in patients, verifying identity, insurance, and demographic information, and obtaining necessary forms or documentation.
    • Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments based on Physician and PA/NP availability.
    • Provide intake materials, office policies, and legally required documents to new or returning patients, ensuring completion and accuracy.
    • Process payments for co-pays and uninsured visits, maintaining payment records securely.
    • Assist patients with off-site testing coordination, form drop-offs, or other support needs, ensuring identity verification for all exchanges.
    • Track vendor sign-ins and ensure visitors are escorted by authorized staff.
    • Support front desk operations as needed, including call coverage and other clerical tasks and duties as assigned.
    • Maintain strict patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA standards at all times.

    EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

    • High school diploma or equivalent required
    • Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems and medical terminology is preferred
    • Strong working knowledge of office software and equipment
    • Excellent communication, multitasking, and customer service skills
