Nevada County Public Health Department is seeking a temporary Clinic Practitioner to join our Truckee Clinical Services Team. Our Truckee Clinic operates three days per week (Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays), providing reproductive healthcare and STD testing services to high-risk populations and underserved communities.
Education and Experience Required
The temporary Clinic Practitioner provides clinical care 2-8 days per month and is responsible for delivering high-quality, client-centered medical services. Key duties include:

Education and Experience Required
Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited college or university in nursing or related field. Post-graduate coursework sufficient to meet licensure. One year of clinical experience in the desired specialty area.
Licenses and Certificates
Possession of a valid license to practice as a Registered Nurse AND certification as a Nurse Practitioner issued by the California Board of Registered Nursing, OR possession of a valid certificate as a Physician Assistant issued by the Medical Board of California, OR possession of a valid certificate as a Certified Nurse Midwife issued by the California Board of Registered Nursing.

This position is temporary, part-time. A temporary, part-time employee works on average 20 hours but not more than 29 hours per week, for a maximum of 960 hours per fiscal year. Temporary employees earn sick leave but are not eligible for other vacation or holiday pay, and they are not eligible for medical, dental, or vision benefits, or CalPERS retirement benefits.

Sick Leave:
Temporary County employees shall accrue at the rate of one (1) hour of sick leave for each thirty (30) hours worked. Temporary County employees can accrue a maximum of 80 hours of sick leave which may be carried over from one fiscal year to the next.
Medical Benefits:
Temporary employees whose assignments average 30 hours per week or more are eligible to enroll in County-sponsored medical benefits.
