We are committed to fostering a culture of respect, integrity, and excellence, ensuring that every patient receives personalized care in a safe and nurturing environment.Position OverviewGateway Regional Medical Center is seeking an experienced and motivated Orthopedic Clinic Manager to oversee the daily administrative and operational activities of our orthopedic clinic.The Orthopedic Clinic Manager will be responsible for coordinating clinic operations, supporting providers and staff, maintaining efficient patient flow, and ensuring a high level of customer service and patient satisfaction. This position works closely with physicians, clinical staff, and hospital leadership to promote efficient, compliant, and patient-centered orthopedic services.The ideal candidate will have strong leadership, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills, with experience in a medical office or healthcare environment.What You'll DoOversee the daily operations of the orthopedic clinic and ensure efficient workflowLead, supervise, and support front-office and administrative clinic staffCoordinate staffing, scheduling, assignments, and daily clinic coverageSupport efficient patient registration, scheduling, check-in, check-out, and referral processesMonitor patient flow and work with clinical and provider teams to address operational concernsAssist with provider scheduling and coordination of clinic servicesEnsure staff follow established hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory requirementsMonitor department productivity, quality, and customer service standardsAddress patient concerns and assist with service recovery when necessaryCollaborate with orthopedic providers and clinical staff to identify opportunities for operational improvementAssist with hiring, onboarding, training, coaching, and performance management of clinic staffMaintain appropriate staffing and administrative documentationMonitor office supplies, equipment, and other operational needsAssist with billing, insurance, authorization, and referral processes as neededPromote accurate and timely documentation and compliance with applicable healthcare regulationsMaintain confidentiality and ensure compliance with HIPAA and hospital policiesParticipate in department meetings, quality improvement initiatives, and other organizational projectsServe as a resource and leader for clinic staff while promoting a professional, respectful, and collaborative work environmentWhat You'll BringEducationRequired:High school diploma or equivalentPreferred:Associate's degree or higher in healthcare administration, business administration, or a related fieldCoursework in medical terminology and/or healthcare office managementExperienceMinimum of two (2) years of experience in a medical office, physician practice, orthopedic clinic, or healthcare-related administrative environment preferredPrevious supervisory or management experience preferredExperience working with physicians, clinical staff, patients, and insurance processes preferredKnowledge of medical terminology and healthcare office operationsStrong organizational and time-management skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to effectively lead, coach, and support a diverse teamAbility to handle confidential information with discretionStrong problem-solving and customer service skillsProficiency with electronic medical records and standard office technology preferredWhy Join Gateway Regional Medical Center?Competitive pay: $25.71-$38.56 per hour, based on experience and qualificationsMedical, dental, and vision insurance options View Guide401(k) retirement savings plan with employer matchingPaid vacation timePaid sick/mental health timeIllinois Paid LeaveFloating holidayOpportunities for professional growth and developmentSupportive and inclusive work environmentGateway Regional Medical Center is proud to serve our community and provide compassionate, personalized care.
