    Overview:
    The Clinic Office Assistant is primarily responsible for appointment scheduling of physician follow-ups and coordinating with the Infusion scheduler to make sure appointments are in order. This position will also perform regular maintenance on provider schedules according to the On Call schedule. Also collects copays and payments, answers basic billing questions, processes medical records batches, and answers incoming calls. The MOA will also work in conjunction with the New Patient Coordinator to make sure New Patients are scheduled accordingly. Cross-training may include training at Registration and in New Patient Coordination.
    Qualifications:

    Associate degree preferred but not required. Three years in a physician’s office with previous scheduling and collections experience is highly preferred. Experience with the Epic EMR, office skills, knowledge of medical terminology, and insurance terminology as a plus. Excellent communication and computer skills are required.
