Shift Details:Dental Hygienist Duties & Responsibilities:
GBT Guided Biofilm Therapy equipment operation may be required.
Provide oral hygiene dental treatment and oral hygiene care and education in accordance with guidelines approved, issued, and regulated by the state in which they work.
Apply fluoride and protective sealants.
Removal of calculus, stain and plaque from above and below the gum line.
Provide nutritional counseling and self-care programs to prevent disease.
Record and review patient medical histories.
Uphold office policy including HIPAA & OSHA.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Order and keep track of inventory as needed.
Other duties as assigned. Work Environment:
This job operates in a medical/clinical environment.
This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, x-rays, and phones.
This job operates in a well-lighted, sterile environment.
Employees must wear gloves, masks, protective eye wear, and clothing to protect themselves and their patients from infectious disease.
Physical Demands:
The employee frequently is required to talk and hear; stand and/or sit for long periods of time; walk; use hands to handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
The employee must frequently lift and/or move objects up to 25 pounds.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to blood and blood-borne pathogens and/or physical risks, which will require OSHA training.
Minimum Qualifications
Current, valid, and unrestricted FL license/certification in good standing, as required for the position.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
Dental Hygienist License
Graduation from an accredited Dental Hygiene school.
Minimum of one (1) year of hands-on experience as a Hygienist
GBT Guided Biofilm Therapy equipment operation experience.
Some locations require GBT Guided Biofilm Therapy operational experience.
CPR certification and X-Ray certification
Copy of current, completed Primary Source Verification (PSV) from the appropriate licensing board or verification agency, if required.
Copy of all current required certifications and compliance documents.
