Shift Details:Dental Assistant (Orthodontic) Duties & Responsibilities:
Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments for orthodontic procedures.
Assist the doctor with patient treatment, positioning instruments, and handling orthodontic appliances. Educate patients on treatment plans, post-procedure care, and oral hygiene.
Manage patient scheduling and assist with front-office tasks as needed.
Support dentists and staff with treatment planning, billing, and insurance matters.
Ensure accurate submission of expenses and invoices.
Maintain office inventory, including supplies and equipment.
Address patient and employee concerns professionally.
Contribute to a positive, team-oriented work environment.
Minimum Qualifications
Current, valid, and unrestricted FL license/certification in good standing, as required for the position.
Completion of an accredited Dental Assistant program
One year of hands-on experience as a Dental Assistant
Experience as an Orthodontics Assistant
CPR card and X-Ray certification
Expanded Function Dental Assistant (CODA or FL Board Approved
Copy of current, completed Primary Source Verification (PSV) from the appropriate licensing board or verification agency, if required.
Copy of all current required certifications and compliance documents.
