Shift Details:Dental Assistant (Periodontal) Duties & Responsibilities:
Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments for periodontal procedures.
Assist the periodontist with surgical procedures such as scaling and root planning, crown lengthening, dental implant placement and tissue grafting.
Ensure accurate documentation and charting of patient records.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post operative care instructions.
Monitor inventory and maintain adequate stock of instruments and supplies.
Ensure proper infection control protocols and OSHA compliance are met
Support front office staff with scheduling and patient communication as needed.
Foster a collaborative and professional clinical environment.
Minimum Qualifications
Current, valid, and unrestricted FL license/certification in good standing, as required for the position.
Completion of an accredited Dental Assistant program.
Must have a minimum of one (1) year of dental assistant experience in periodontal.
Copy of current, completed Primary Source Verification (PSV) from the appropriate licensing board or verification agency, if required.
Copy of all current required certifications and compliance documents.
Required Certifications & Licensure: CPR Certification,Expanded Function Dental Assistant (CODA or FL Board Approved). -X-Ray certification.
