What We Offer:
Novant Health is seeking an Athletic Trainer licensed in the appropriate state, acts under the supervision of a physician and must adhere to the Protocols and guidelines as required by the licensing agency. The protocols must be written in collaboration with the supervising physician and reviewed annually. The Athletic Trainer works in the areas of primary care, sports medicine or orthopedic clinical setting, specializing in the delivery of high quality health care for those engaged in physical activity. They also promote Novant Health and the Practice through outreach and education for health and wellness in the community.
What We're Looking For:
- Education: High School Diploma or GED, required. 4 Year / Bachelors’ degree in athletic training or equivalent from a CAATE accredited program, required. Graduate Degree, preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of one year experience as a certified athletic trainer having participated in various administrative, educational or medical support services; required. Physician extender background and experience with an electronic medical record, preferred.
- Licensure/Certification: NATABOC Certification (National Athletic Trainers Association-Board of Certification), required.
- Additional skills required: Excellent written and communication skills. Must be able to work within multidisciplinary team.

Your Role:
- Serves as part of the rehabilitation care team and as an expert in developing and implementing developmental performance plans to bridge formal rehabilitation and client activity goals.
- Responsible for being a part of the performance team with coaching groups of athletes, adults and individuals to reach their highest levels in preparation for competition and life.
- Promote Novant Health within own entity as well as through community outreach initiatives and serve as an integral part of the healthcare delivery team.
- Prepare patients and exam rooms for treatment
- Provide compassionate care and patient education focused on orthopedic health and recovery
