Pay: $22.20 - $26.64 per hour ($46,176 - $55,411 annually)

Program Overview: Hope Manor Village Joliet is a supportive housing community designed for women recovering from opioid addiction, especially those who are pregnant or caring for young children. The program addresses the opioid crisis by providing safe, stable housing and recovery-focused services that support long-term healing for both mothers and their families.

We provide:
Long-term supportive housing with 1- and 2-bedroom units for women and their children
Recovery-based and trauma-informed services designed specifically for women in recovery
Access to on-site supportive services that promote stability, health, and long-term recovery
Family-centered programming to support parenting and child development
Connections to treatment providers and recovery resources
Community amenities including a business and technology center, learning spaces for children and adults, and family recreation areas
Referral partnerships with Will County Drug Court and local inpatient treatment programs. Our goal is to provide women in recovery with a safe, supportive environment that promotes healing, prevents relapse, and helps families rebuild stable and healthy futures.

Position Summary: The Client Support & Service Coordinator for Hope Manor Village Joliet (HMVJ) provides trauma informed case management and supportive services to residents in VOA Illinois’ recovery focused supportive housing community. This role supports women and families in maintaining housing stability, progressing in recovery, and achieving long term self sufficiency. Responsibilities include coordinating services, developing individualized service plans, and helping prevent housing crises through financial assistance support such as rent or utility aid and connections to internal and community resources.

 

Work Environment & Schedule:
Full-time, in-office position averaging 40 hours per week

Eligible for at least one remote workday per week after Initial Training Period
Community-based travel required
Valid driver’s license required

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Physical demands include sedentary work, computer use, and frequent communication with clients, colleagues, and partners involved in client support.
Must be able to travel within the community, transport clients when necessary, and assist clients in and out of vehicles

 

What You’ll Do:
Provide intensive case management and crisis intervention for residents recovering from opioid addiction
Conduct client intake and comprehensive assessments to evaluate psychological, physical, recovery, and service-related needs
Develop and monitor individualized service plans that support housing stability, recovery goals, parenting needs, and overall well-being

Conduct monthly home visits and community-based meetings to monitor client progress and service outcomes
Support eviction prevention by helping residents resolve housing crises through financial assistance coordination (rent or utility aid) and connections to internal and community resources
Assist residents with program applications, documentation, and eligibility requirements for supportive services and financial assistance
Advocate for residents and connect them with treatment providers, healthcare, parenting resources, employment supports, and community services
Serve as a liaison between residents, property management, and community partners to coordinate services and promote housing stability
Educate residents individually or in groups on available services, recovery supports, and tenant rights and responsibilities
Utilize trauma-informed care, motivational interviewing, and conflict de-escalation strategies when supporting residents
Maintain accurate documentation in EchoVantage, HMIS, and other required databases while managing assigned caseloads and ensuring program compliance
Promote a recovery-focused and family-centered community environment that supports healing, stability, and long-term success
Collaborate with VOA Illinois staff, vendors, and community partners to ensure coordinated service delivery
Exhibit cultural competence while serving residents of diverse backgrounds and commit to expanding knowledge and understanding of different communities and people groups

Qualifications Required:

Bachelor’s degree in Human Services, Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or related field
2+ years of experience in case management, supportive housing, behavioral health, or working with vulnerable populations

Experience providing trauma-informed care and connecting clients to community resources

Strong communication, collaboration, and conflict de-escalation skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic documentation systems Preferred:
Experience working with individuals recovering from substance use disorders
Experience working in recovery-oriented, residential, or supportive housing environments
Knowledge of local social service and behavioral health resources
Experience with advocacy, intake, care coordination, or crisis intervention
