Summary

The Client Solutions Manager, Estimation is responsible for developing accurate and competitive cost estimates for Audio Visual and event solutions in support of new business opportunities. This role partners closely with Business Development to analyze client requirements, review RFPs, develop preliminary job costs, provide technical insights, and support solution development throughout the pre-sales process. The position requires strong analytical skills, operational knowledge, effective communication, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple deadlines. This position primarily supports the Business Development team while maintaining a collaborative approach to assisting other departments as business needs arise.

This position will support our Client Solutions team. It is eligible to work a hybrid schedule, requiring work in-office and/or show-site 3 days per week. The ideal candidate will be based out of:

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates and job costs for event and exhibit production projects, including Audio Visual equipment, labor, pre-production, and other applicable project costs.
  • Develop accurate pricing assumptions and estimate solutions that align with client requirements and company objectives.
  • Partner with Business Development to review RFPs, understand client objectives, define project scope, and identify information needed to develop accurate estimates.
  • Participate in internal and client-facing discovery discussions and calls to gather requirements, clarify scope, provide technical insights, and support solution development.
  • Review project specifications, RFPs, drawings, and other documentation to understand project scope and requirements.
  • Accurately prepare job costs and identify key learnings, efficiencies, potential cost savings, and operational considerations that may improve project outcomes and estimate accuracy.
  • Utilize internal pricing resources, historical project data, and intercompany processes to obtain cost information and develop accurate estimates.
  • Collaborate with technical experts, sales coordinators, and operational partners to validate pricing assumptions, labor requirements, and solution recommendations.
  • Review estimates against RFP requirements and proposed solutions to ensure accuracy, completeness, and alignment with client expectations.
  • Identify potential risks, challenges, and constraints related to labor, logistics, venue requirements, equipment availability, and project execution, incorporating appropriate considerations into estimates.
  • Provide accurate and timely estimates to support proposal development and new business pursuits.
  • Support final estimate review activities, including review of labor, job costs, and estimate accuracy prior to delivery by Business Development.
  • Maintain detailed records of estimates, including assumptions, methodologies, pricing rationale, and supporting data.
  • Ensure estimates are properly documented and organized to support proposal review and handoff processes.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, emerging technologies, pricing changes, and production techniques to continuously improve estimate accuracy and efficiency.
  • Share lessons learned and best practices to improve estimating processes and consistency across opportunities.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor''s Degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in cost estimation, preferably in the event and exhibits production industry.
