Position Description

Advertised Job Summary

The Client Services Team Lead supports the delivery of accurate, timely, and responsive services for students, alumni, and other University stakeholders within Client Services. Under the direction of the Assistant Registrar for Client Services, this position provides guidance and support to staff, coordinates daily coverage, and resolves escalated client-service matters. It also supports daily financial deposits, PCI compliance, and continuous improvement of service procedures.

Job Related Minimum Required Education and Experience

  • Typically holds a high school diploma or GED. Requires 2 or more years of job related experience.

Required Certification, Licensure/Other Credentials Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of USC academic policies and procedures/knowledge of client/customer service principles preferred.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills are required. Knowledge of USC academic policies and procedures/ knowledge of client/customer service principles preferred.
  • Excellent keyboarding, data entry and word processing skills required.

Job Duties

Job Duty

Provide daily Client Services duties to include providing information to clients, producing transcripts/enrollment verification documents and Registrar's Office forms; retrieving information from the student information system; assisting with the self-service portal.

Essential Function Yes Percentage of Time 60 Job Duty

Assist in providing policy, procedure, and job duty training and support to staff. Assist in the auditing of Client Service staff to ensure the accuracy and timeliness of transactions. Serve as a point of contact for staff who need assistance and a point of contact for the escalation of service with a Client.

Essential Function Yes Percentage of Time 20 Job Duty

Complete/Assist with daily deposits and submit to the Bursar's Office. Assist with Payment Card Industry (PCI) compliance through review/revision and training of established policy and procedures.

Essential Function Yes Percentage of Time 10 Job Duty

Perform other duties (commencement, orientation, etc.) as assigned by the University Registrar or Associate/Assistant Registrars.

Coordinate the daily schedules of Client Services staff to ensure adequate office coverage.
