    A Snapshot of Your Day

    Manage the scope, schedule, and cost of repair projects in execution at the Houston Service Center. Create inspection reports and repair proposals for steam turbines, centrifugal and reciprocating compressors, safety valves, and other related turbomachinery equipment. Serve as clients' direct point of contact while repairs are ongoing at the service center. Work alongside a team of mechanics, machinists, weld technicians, inspectors, engineers, and project managers in the repair of critical turbomachinery equipment. Customers include oil refineries, petrochemical plants, power plants, universities, hospitals, and mechanical contractors.

    How You'll Make an Impact

    • Manage the scope, schedule, cost, and execution of turbomachinery repair projects at the Houston Service Center, ensuring projects remain on budget and aligned with customer and business requirements.
    • Create inspection reports, repair proposals, and project documentation; review bills of materials, manufacturing drawings, and repair specifications to identify replacement parts and define repair scopes.
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, interpreting maintenance and repair requirements, reviewing contractual service specifications, and providing regular project status updates to both internal and external stakeholders.
    • Develop clear work instructions for shop personnel, leveraging factory and repair specifications, while supporting inspection, repair, and maintenance activities throughout the project lifecycle.
    • Ensure compliance with customer requirements and internal quality standards, while supporting continuous improvement initiatives, including Lean implementation projects and process enhancements.
    • Champion a strong safety culture by actively supporting safety programs and initiatives, promoting safe work practices, reporting unsafe conditions, and encouraging continuous improvement across the Service Center.

    What You Bring

    • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field required.
    • 3+ years of experience with rotating and/or reciprocating equipment repairs (including steam turbines, centrifugal compressors, gas turbines, reciprocating compressors, turbochargers, valves, and dry gas seals), manufacturing environments, or estimating labor and resources for repair scopes. Additional experience may qualify candidates for a higher-level position (07 S40).
    • Demonstrated project management experience, including managing project lifecycle, costs, schedules, and priorities in a fast-paced environment, with the flexibility to support occasional overtime during client outages.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Outlook, coupled with the ability to interpret shop instructions and manufacturing drawings.
    • Proven commitment to Health, Safety, and Quality standards, along with a strong work ethic, focus on excellence, high-quality results, and the ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team.
    • Teachable and adaptable mindset with a willingness to learn, accept constructive feedback, and continuously improve.
