About the role:

Client Relationship Managers (CRMs) are key contributors to the commercial success of Cognizant's IT and Consulting business. In this high visibility role, you will act as a business owner for assigned client accounts, partnering closely with the Client Partner to manage day-to-day operations, drive account growth, and ensure delivery excellence. You will be responsible for managing account P&L, expanding existing engagements, identifying new opportunities, and fostering strong, trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders. This role requires strong business acumen, leadership capability, and a proactive, growth-oriented mindset.

Retail industry experience is strongly preferred. However, candidates from other industries with relevant client-facing, consulting, or business development experience will also be considered.

In this role, you will

  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with key client stakeholders
  • Develop a deep understanding of client environments, priorities, and challenges
  • Partner with clients to define business problems and co create innovative solutions
  • Drive renewals, extensions, and expansion opportunities, including proactive RFPs and bids
  • Monitor industry trends relevant to client businesses and introduce forward looking ideas
  • Serve as the primary day-to-day point of contact for assigned clients
  • Own backlog growth, including renewals and extensions of existing engagements
  • Lead onsite project teams and ensure alignment with client expectations and objectives

What you must have to be considered

  • Minimum 15 years of experience in a client facing role within a consulting firm or IT professional services / outsourcing environment
  • Proven experience managing client P&L of $15M+, including financial reporting and metric analysis
  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent)
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills

The annual salary for this position is between $140,000 - $165,000 depending on the experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
