Veteran's ServicesDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Performs general office procedures, including but not limited to:
- Maintain and organize the front reception area
- Answer telephone calls and forward to proper person or take message if required.
- Responsible for incoming mail opening, date stamping and distribution.
- File documents within each client's case folder daily
- Assist with weekly warrant documents
- Prepare requisitions and purchase orders under the MUNIS system.
- Greet and assist Veterans, families and clients with documentation-copies, mailing and completing
- Assist with special projects- under the direction of the Director.
- Required to work on Veterans Day and Memorial Day
- May be required to work on other Veterans Events and Ceremonies
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS AND ENTRANCE REQUIREMENTS
- High school graduate with minimum of two years experience and proven ability to perform a wide range of clerical functions.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Publisher, and Access programs.
- Experience working with federal and state veterans programs preferred.
- Willingness to learn Lexis-Nexis (federal) and VSMIS (state) programs.
- Must successfully complete the Veteran's Service Officers Training Program through the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Department of Veteran's Services in accordance with MGL Chap. 115.
SalaryStart: $48,431 - Step 25: $60,881
