Clerk, Mobile Market

Job Summary

Even with our tremendous store footprint in the Greater Pittsburgh area, some of our neighbors unfortunately do not have access to fresh food and our services because of where they live. To help combat these food deserts, we invested in a Mobile Grocery Truck that is ran out of our South Fayette Giant Eagle. We are looking to assemble an amazing team to bring our great products and services to every guest regardless of where they live.

As a Mobile Market Clerk, you will be responsible for stocking product onto the Mobile Market prior to leaving the home base, travel with the team to the locations, ring register, assist customers and once returned to home base, remove perishable stock

Job Responsibilities

• Provide exemplary customer service by ensuring products are replenished on the shelves, helping customers locate product and ensuring customers' orders are processed through our registers accurately and efficiently in the friendliest manner
• Become familiar with products in the Mobile Market to answer questions and make suggestions to customers
• Smile and greet customers in a friendly manner.
• Properly handle products and equipment in accordance with food safety and safety guidelines to ensure a safe shopping environment.
• Maintain cleanliness of work area, including entrance areas.
• Rotate and check code dates on products to ensure customer's safety.
• Assist in other areas as required

The hiring range for this position is $15.00- $15.125 per hour/year. This range represents the anticipated base pay for this role. Actual compensation will be determined based on factors such as experience, skills, education, and location. Eligible employees may be offered health, vision, and dental insurance, personal/sick paid time, 401(k) retirement savings plan, bonus potential, paid bereavement, vacation and paid holidays.
