    JOB TITLE: General Office Clerk

    REPORTS TO: Principal

    WAGE/HOUR STATUS: Nonexempt

    PAY GRADE: Para 3

    PRIMARY PURPOSE:

    The Office Clerk position will provide clerical support to assigned personnel and provide information and/or direction as may be requested.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    Required:

    • High School Graduate or GED from and accredited institution

    Preferred:

    • One year of job related experience

    SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:

    • Ability to work well with children
    • Ability to communicate effectively
    • Computer Skills
    • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite

    MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

    • Prepare documents for the purpose of communicating information to parents
    • Assist with assigned programs and projects
    • Act as public relations representative for school
    • Prepare written materials regarding school and/or district activities and procedures
    • Support and assist counselors, assistant principal, and other school personnel with work functions as needed
    • Participate in staff development and faculty meetings as assigned
    • Perform all other duties as assigned

    WORKING CONDITIONS:

    Multi-tasking efficiently in an environment that has frequent interruptions, while maintaining emotional control under stress. Participation or presence required at some district functions in the district and/or out of the district. There is heavy telephone responsibilities and prolonged use of

    computer. There may be occasional overtime or irregular hours.
