    Qualifications:

    College hours, high school diploma or GED (preferred)

    Bilingual required, both oral and written (English/Spanish)

    Successful related work experience

    Electronic communication and public relations skills

    Extensive Microsoft computer skills, including Excel, Outlook and Word and file maintenance skills

    Expertise in all appropriate office machines

    Maintain confidentiality

    Ability to work within deadlines and handle frequent interruptions

    Ability to understand and adjust to changing situations

    Ability to work collaboratively with others

    Ability to maintain emotional stability

    Detail and number oriented

    Flexibility and ability to organize self and others to be self-motivating

    Cooperative with school personnel, parents and patrons

    Primary Purpose:

    To provide excellent customer service with consistent and accurate assistance offered to District patrons, students and food service staff while maintaining specific office duties.

    Major Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Complies with policies and procedures of the Federal and State Governments, KISD Board of Education and KISD Nutrition and Food Service Department.
    • Reports on scheduled days to assigned location at scheduled time.
    • Utilize positive customer service skills to greet and assist office guests in person, on the telephone or by email.
    • Answer and screen calls; transfer messages.
    • Convey substitute assignment information.
    • Contact parents regarding student balances.
    • Provide free and reduced information to parents upon request.
    • Receive, process and maintain records; follow up with school maintenance requests.
    • Maintain records of employee staff development participation.
    • Maintain accurate records for warranty issues and submit requests as needed.
    • Assist in processing free and reduced meal program applications.
    • Maintain school site small and large equipment inventories.
    • Maintain office supply room and control inventory.
    • Assist with new employee orientation room set up.
    • Develop kitchen bulletin board promotional material.
    • Assume additional duties as assigned.
