It is the primary responsibility of the data clerk to assist the site coordinator in all duties as assigned. At a minimum, the Data Clerk/Assistant must meet the following requirements and responsibilities. Qualifications: Education/Certification: High school diploma or GED Special Knowledge/Skills: Knowledge and proficient in computer use to include Word, Excel, desk top publishing; Meet local, state, and federal employment requirements. Ability to communicate effectively Experience: One-year accounting experience at clerical level Major Responsibilities and Duties:

    1. Assist site coordinator in implementing program schedules and activities.
    2. Assist in student data collection and data entry in the TEA 21stStudentTracking System.
    3. Maintain updated student records.
    4. Assist Site Coordinator in maintaining current bus schedules, student lists, and staff assignments.
    5. Provide support to enrichment instructors and after-school teachers when necessary.
    6. Assist in supervising students as needed.
    7. Assist in maintaining inventory of program supplies and inventory.
    8. Assist in coordinating meals and supervising students during meals.
    9. Assist Site Coordinator and Project Director in completing required grant reports.
    10. Coordinate all afterschool program activities in the absence of the site coordinator.
    11. Perform any and other duties as assigned by site coordinator or Project Director. Supervisory Responsibilities: None. Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors: Tools/Equipment Used: Standard office equipment including personal computer and peripherals Posture: Prolonged sitting; occasional bending/stooping, pushing/pulling, and twisting. Motion: Repetitive hand motions, frequent keyboarding and use of mouse; occasional reaching. Lifting: Occasional light lifting and carrying (less than 15 pounds) Environment: May work prolonged or irregular hours Mental Demands: Work with frequent interruptions, maintain emotional control under stress.
