Job Title: Aseptic Cleaning TechnicianJob Description

The Aseptic Cleaning Technician performs routine cleaning and sanitation of cleanroom facilities and adjacent controlled spaces in a highly regulated environment. This role follows established Standard Operating Procedures, handles cleaning chemicals safely, maintains gowning materials and equipment, and supports production by ensuring that all areas meet strict cleanliness and documentation standards. The position is labor-intensive, requires consistent gowning for cleanroom entry, and involves regular use of email and computer-based training tools.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine cleaning and sanitation of cleanroom facilities and adjacent controlled spaces in accordance with established procedures and cleanliness standards.
  • Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), policies, and guidelines related to cleaning activities and appropriate behavior in the cleanroom environment.
  • Handle and use cleaning chemicals safely by correctly identifying chemicals, preparing solutions, applying appropriate labeling, and following storage requirements to meet department standards.
  • Maintain cleaning equipment, gowning materials, and supplies within designated storage areas and locker rooms to ensure readiness and proper inventory levels.
  • Adhere to facility gowning requirements, consistently demonstrating proper gowning and garbing techniques for cleanroom entry.
  • Participate in and successfully complete annual gowning qualification to remain current and competent in cleanroom gowning practices.
  • Observe Good Documentation Practices (GDP) when recording data on controlled documentation, ensuring accuracy, legibility, and compliance with regulatory expectations.
  • Remain professional and dependable by working expected hours, completing required training, and communicating effectively with team members and supervisors.
  • Use email, Microsoft Teams, and training software on a daily basis to receive instructions, complete training modules, and collaborate with colleagues.
  • Support the Cleaning Operations team by performing additional tasks as assigned, contributing to a safe, clean, and efficient production environment.
  • Commit to overtime, weekend, or holiday work when needed to support operational demands and maintain cleanroom standards.

Essential Skills

  • Ability to perform labor-intensive cleaning tasks and remain on feet in an active role for the entirety of a shift.
  • Ability to follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) accurately and consistently.
  • Comfort and competence with gowning and garbing for entry into cleanroom environments.
  • Confidence using email and other computer programs, including Microsoft Teams and training software, on a daily basis.
  • Strong attention to detail and adherence to Good Documentation Practices (GDP) when recording data on controlled documentation.
  • Ability to work expected hours reliably and commit to overtime, weekend, or holiday work if needed.
  • Effective communication skills to interact professionally with team members in a team-oriented environment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Prior aseptic cleaning or laboratory sanitation experience is preferred.
  • Prior experience following SOPs in a regulated or production environment is preferred.
  • Experience gowning up and working inside cleanrooms is highly preferred.
  • Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) experience is a plus.
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Comfort working in a production-oriented, cleanroom environment with strict gowning and cleanliness standards.

Work Environment

The work environment is highly team-oriented, collaborative, and part of a diverse group of individuals that continues to grow. The role is based in cleanroom facilities and adjacent controlled spaces where strict cleanliness, gowning, and documentation standards apply. Technicians spend most of the day on their feet in an active role and regularly gown up to enter cleanrooms. The dress code is casual lab attire, including closed-toe shoes, socks covering the ankles, khaki pants or jeans without holes, and shirts without graphics. The position follows a second shift schedule, typically from 2:30 PM to 11:30 PM, with the potential for overtime, weekend, or holiday work as operational needs require.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Columbus, OH.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.
