Position: Middle School English Teacher

Qualifications:

• CT 015 English Certification - Grades 7-12 required
• Knowledge of READ 180 preferred
• Teaching experience in both MS and HS beneficial

• Willingness to teach new course offerings and aid in the development of 7-12 offerings for the school.

The Gilbert School is a progressive, educational community for grades 7-12 with a growing international boarding program. We are hiring a dynamic, energetic, compassionate and technologically-aware middle school English Teacher. The ideal candidate would be well-rounded academically and be able to formulate strong relationships with students, parents, and the educational community. A strong background in reading and writing instruction and the ability to teach students of all levels is ideal.

Located in the beautiful northwest corner, The Gilbert School is a semi-private academy and all teachers are members of the CEA and CT Teachers' Retirement program.
