ANTICIPATED OPENING

SUMMARY

The Woodbridge School District consists of one school - Beecher Road School, a PreK-6 elementary school employing approximately 175 staff members to serve and educate approximately 875 students. A caring, creative community, Beecher Road School models and inspires the joy of lifelong learning, embraces diversity, and celebrates the unique qualities of each person. Woodbridge is one of Connecticut's best towns, and Beecher Road School is the heart of the town. For the 2026/27 school year, the District seeks an elementary teacher (anticipated opening).

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Promotes student engagement, independence, and interdependence in learning and facilitates a positive learning community
• Plans and implements instruction to engage students in rigorous and relevant learning and to promote their curiosity about the world at large
• Maximizes support for student learning by developing and demonstrating professionalism, collaboration, and leadership

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

Required:

• Background, interest, and/or expertise in elementary education at the primary and/or intermediate grade levels
• Hold or be eligible for State of Connecticut Certification as an elementary educator (001, 002, 004, 005, 013 or 305 certifications acceptable)

SALARY AND BENEFITS

This position is a full-time, school-year position. Salary and benefits are in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement between the District and the Woodbridge Education Association.
