Classroom Teacher / Activities Early Head Start Teacher (#422)

Job Description:

This position directs the teaching team in planning and implementing developmentally appropriate learning experiences that engage the whole child and support the readiness of the children through social/emotional, cognitive, physical, and language activities. Establish and maintain a safe, healthy learning environment and encourage the involvement of families to strengthen the relationships between children, families, and the community. Qualifications:

Minimum of an Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education plus 3-5 years related work experience.

• Knowledge of early childhood education including developmentally appropriate practices
• Knowledge of child growth and development
• Experience working with families to support early learning
• Able to exercise high levels of discretion and confidentiality.
• Detail oriented with good organizational skills, and be multi-task proficient.
• Strong computer skills with the ability to adapt to new software.
• Provide current physical and negative TB test upon hire.
• Must maintain a current motor vehicle license and have access to reliable, insured transportation.
