American Driver is recruiting in Athens, AL for Class A drivers who are new to the industry and ready to start building a career in OTR trucking.
This is a full-time W2 position. Training is paid, the freight is consistent, and the equipment is late-model.
Training:
- 4–6 weeks with a dedicated mentor, fully paid
- Hands-on from day one — live loads, real deadlines
- HOS, ELD, pre/post trip inspections all covered
- Weekly pay from the start
- Solo driving begins at $0.56 CPM after completion
Freight and Miles:
- No-touch dry van
- 60% drop and hook
- 2,200–2,500 miles per week
- Eastern routes, consistent year-round freight
Pay Structure:
- $0.56–$0.65 CPM depending on experience
- Weekly take-home typically $1,200–$1,500
- Additional pay for stops, layovers, and breakdowns
- Pay increase every six months
- $300 orientation pay
- Direct deposit every Friday
Home Time:
- Every two weeks, scheduled in advance
Equipment:
- Freightliner or Kenworth (2022–2025)
- APUs on all assigned trucks

What You Need:
- Class A CDL, age 21+
- Must have completed a minimum of 120 hours of instruction from an accredited CDL school
- No major violations in the last 3 years
