Class A CDL Transport & Logistics Specialist Company: Country Lane Gazebos Location: New Holland, PA Country Lane Gazebos is hiring a Class A CDL Transport & Logistics Specialist to manage material pickups and deliver finished structures to customer job sites. This role focuses on safe transport, proper load securement, and supporting final placement of structures in the field. About the Role The Class A CDL Transport & Logistics Specialist is responsible for transporting raw materials to our shop and delivering completed structure kits to customer locations. This role requires strong driving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and alongside installation crews when needed. Key Responsibilities Material Pickup & Transport: Pick up and deliver raw lumber from suppliers. Verify loads against purchase orders and ensure materials are properly secured for transport. Oversized Delivery: Operate Class A tractor-trailers to deliver large outdoor structure kits to residential job sites. Navigate a variety of locations, including tight or restricted areas. DOT Compliance: Follow all DOT regulations, including ELD use, Hours of Service (HOS), and inspection requirements. Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections. Load Securement: Secure loads using straps, chains, and tarps to prevent shifting or damage during transport. Equipment Operation: Operate equipment such as forklifts or Moffetts to load and unload materials at the shop and job sites. Delivery Coordination: Assess job sites for safe delivery and placement. Communicate with customers and the office to coordinate deliveries and resolve issues. Installation Support: Assist install crews with final placement, leveling, anchoring, or basic assembly as needed. What We’re Looking For Professional and safety-focused mindset. Education & Experience Valid Class A CDL with a clean driving record (required). Current Medical Examiner’s Certificate (preferred). 2–3 years of Class A driving experience. Experience with flatbeds and hauling lumber or oversized materials preferred. Knowledge of load securement practices and standards. Forklift or Moffett experience is a plus. Physical & Environmental Requirements Ability to lift and handle up to 100 lbs. as needed. Willingness to travel out-of-state, including occasional overnight stays.
