The Claims Specialist works with field operations, customers, and tenant insurance vendors after a customer has reported a potential Insurance claim.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist tenants with initiating insurance claims.
  • Review claim documents to determine coverage eligibility.
  • Provide efficient customer service by promptly responding to all claim inquiries.
  • Review claims document to ensure correct documents have been submitted.
  • Communicate with customers on expectations, updates, and claim status.
  • Work with property management, field leadership, and tenant insurance vendors to coordinate claims documentation.
  • Investigate and report on all general liability, auto and property claims.
  • Maintain customer service database and validate customers deposits.
  • Reviews insurance billings against claims data to ensure invoice accuracy.
  • Prepare reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information.
  • Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures.
  • Additional duties and projects as assigned that support the department goals.

Qualifications

  • HS Diploma/GED required; College degree preferred.
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Computer savvy (willingness to learn new systems)
  • Detail oriented, strong analytical and communication skills
  • Ability to quickly establish trust and rapport with field operations & drive results
