Description

The role focuses on reviewing and investigating concealed damage claims submitted by business partners to determine whether damage occurred while products were in the carrier’s care. The position requires strong analytical and documentation-review skills, attention to detail, stakeholder communication, and the ability to support strategic programs/projects. The candidate will also communicate with leadership, develop executive-level presentations and reports, and support planning, workshops, and project deliverables.

Job Responsibilities

Review and investigate concealed damage claims, including claim forms, Bills of Lading (BOL), inspection reports, and supporting documentation.
Analyze photographs and other evidence to validate claims and determine carrier responsibility/liability.
Evaluate complex or conflicting information to determine the likely cause of loss or damage.
Support claim resolution and settlement negotiations with claimants and relevant stakeholders.
Perform program/project management activities, including planning, deliverables, and tracking progress.
Collaborate with department leaders and cross-functional stakeholders on short- and mid-term strategic planning.
Provide leadership with project status updates, escalations, and key decision points.
Develop executive-level presentations, reports, and visual content to communicate recommendations and obtain stakeholder buy-in.
Coordinate executive workshops and working sessions.
Maintain effective communication and relationship management with internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

2+ years of experience in claims handling or a related industry is preferred but not required.
2+ years of experience in strategy/management consulting, strategic planning, or corporate development within a global organization is preferred.
Bachelor’s degree is a plus but not required; equivalent experience may be considered.
Experience reviewing claims documentation, BOLs, inspection reports, photographs, and damage evidence is beneficial.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate complex and sometimes contradictory evidence.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify discrepancies.
Knowledge of product damage evaluation and carrier liability.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including negotiation and presentation skills.
Experience communicating with mid- to senior-level leadership through presentations, meetings, and status reports.
Working knowledge of project management fundamentals and documentation practices/systems.
Strong client-service and relationship-management skills.
Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
Self-directed, motivated, results-oriented, and team-oriented.
