    Preferred Qualifications:

    • 1+ year of healthcare administrative experience.
    • Experience supporting physicians, advanced practice clinicians, or healthcare leaders.
    • Experience with medical records administration, billing support, chart capture, or revenue cycle processes.
    • Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Familiarity with hospital information systems and healthcare reporting.

    What You'll Do

    As a Claims Manager, you will investigate, evaluate, and resolve professional liability and general liability claims involving TeamHealth operations across multiple regions and specialties. You'll work closely with attorneys, healthcare professionals, hospital clients, insurance partners, and leadership teams to ensure claims are managed efficiently and effectively.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Manage an assigned portfolio of professional liability and general liability claims from investigation through resolution.
    • Monitor and manage claims across multiple jurisdictions to achieve optimal outcomes.
    • Evaluate claims and recommend appropriate indemnity and expense reserves.
    • Serve as a key point of contact for attorneys, physicians, hospitals, insurance carriers, third-party administrators, and operational leadership.
    • Coordinate litigation strategy and case management with defense counsel and litigation partners.
    • Participate in mediations, arbitrations, settlement conferences, depositions, hearings, trials, and claims review meetings as needed.
    • Prepare detailed claim evaluations and present settlement recommendations to senior leadership and review committees.
    • Track claim activity, monitor reporting timelines, and maintain accurate claim records and documentation.
    • Enter and maintain claims information within risk management systems.
    • Stay informed on evolving liability laws, industry trends, and best practices in assigned jurisdictions.
    • Support special projects and initiatives as needed.
