In this vital role, you will uphold the law, protect assets, and ensure the safety and security of the Marine Corps community. Operating on a military installation, you will perform the same duties as your counterparts in local police departments, providing a stable and secure environment for service members, their families, and civilian personnel. This is an exceptional opportunity to launch a long-term federal law enforcement career while making a tangible and positive impact every day.As a Marine Corps Police Officer, you will be entrusted with a wide range of responsibilities essential to maintaining order and security on a Marine Corps installation. Your core duties will include:
    • Conducting vehicle and foot patrols to maintain visibility and deter crime.
    • Responding to emergency and non-emergency calls for service.
    • Enforcing federal and state laws, as well as military regulations and installation-specific orders.
    • Performing traffic control duties and investigating traffic accidents.
    • Controlling access to the installation at various entry points.
    • Engaging in community-policing activities to build trust and cooperation.
    • Conducting preliminary investigations and securing crime scenes.
    • Preparing detailed reports and maintaining accurate records.

    Minimum QualificationsTo be considered for this entry-level position, you must meet the following requirements:
    • Be a United States Citizen.
    • Be at least 18 years of age at the time of application.
    • Possess a High School Diploma or GED.
    • Be able to pass a comprehensive medical examination and drug screening.
    • Successfully pass a thorough background investigation to be granted a Secret security clearance.
