Role Summary
Working directly under a Project Engineer, you will bridge the gap between initial survey data and final construction documents. This role is production-heavy, focusing on the technical accuracy of site layouts and municipal infrastructure plans.
Key Responsibilities
Design & Drafting: Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D to develop site plans, grading plans, and utility profiles for residential and commercial developments.
Stormwater Management: Perform hydrology and hydraulic calculations (using HydroCAD or similar) to design detention basins and drainage systems.
Permit Coordination: Draft technical reports and assemble application packages for the NJDEP, Soil Conservation Districts, and local Planning Boards.
Field Support: Conduct periodic site visits to assist with construction inspections and ensure contractors are following the approved municipal designs.
Education: BS in Civil Engineering.
Certification: EIT (Engineer in Training) preferred or on track to obtain within 6 months.
Experience: 0-3 years in land development or municipal design.
