Job Description

Assist Project Managers in overseeing civil sitework projects from award through completion. Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers to ensure project schedules are maintained. Support project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and cost tracking activities. Review and process submittals, RFIs, change orders, and project documentation. Monitor project progress and identify potential schedule or cost impacts. Participate in client, subcontractor, and internal project meetings. Track quantities, production rates, and project performance metrics. Assist with procurement of materials and equipment. Coordinate closely with field operations teams to ensure project objectives are achieved. Help prepare project reports, forecasts, and status updates for leadership. Ensure compliance with safety regulations, contract requirements, and company standards. Support project closeout activities, including punch lists, final documentation, and invoicing.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Civil Sitework Assistant Project Manager should have:

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred.
• 1-5 years of experience in civil construction, site development, heavy highway, utility, or related construction projects.
• Strong understanding of civil sitework operations including earthwork, grading, drainage, underground utilities, and paving.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contracts.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite; experience with project management software is a plus.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Self-motivated, team-oriented, and eager to build a long-term career in construction project management.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to visit project sites as needed.
