Civil Site Project Manager

About the Opportunity
We are partnering with a growing engineering and infrastructure consulting organization seeking an experienced Civil Site Project Manager to support a diverse portfolio of land development and site infrastructure projects throughout the Southeast.

This role is ideal for a senior-level civil engineering professional with strong site development expertise, project management capability, and experience leading projects from concept through construction. The selected candidate will work closely with multidisciplinary teams, clients, municipalities, and consultants to deliver high-quality development projects across commercial, industrial, residential, and healthcare sectors.

What You'll Be Doing
Site Development & Civil Engineering
  • Lead civil site and land development projects from conceptual planning through construction completion
  • Prepare and oversee site plans, grading plans, utility layouts, drainage systems, and erosion control plans
  • Support stormwater management and hydrology design efforts
  • Coordinate permitting and development approval processes with municipalities and agencies
  • Prepare technical reports, specifications, estimates, and project documentation
Project Management & Client Coordination
  • Manage project scopes, schedules, budgets, and deliverables
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for clients throughout project execution
  • Support proposal preparation, project planning, and resource coordination
  • Collaborate with engineers, designers, surveyors, and external consultants to ensure successful project delivery
  • Provide quality control reviews and technical oversight of development plans
Construction & Field Coordination
  • Support construction administration activities including RFIs, submittals, and field issue resolution
  • Coordinate with contractors, municipalities, and project stakeholders throughout construction
  • Assist with resolving technical and site-related challenges during project execution
Preferred Technical Experience
Strong experience in one or more of the following areas is highly preferred:

  • Hydrology & Drainage Design
  • Utility Design & Coordination
  • Grading & Erosion Control
  • Commercial & Residential Development
  • Municipal Permitting & Development Approvals
Preferred Software Experience
  • AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • HEC-RAS
  • Hydroflow
  • Hydrographs
What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required
  • 8+ years of civil site or land development engineering experience
  • Strong site development and project management experience
  • Ability to manage projects independently with minimal supervision
  • Excellent communication and client relationship management skills
  • Experience coordinating multidisciplinary project teams and municipal approvals
Highly Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting commercial, healthcare, industrial, or residential developments
  • Construction administration or field coordination experience
  • Familiarity with zoning, permitting, and development code research
  • Experience working directly with municipalities and public agencies
