Role: Civil Sales Engineer
Location: Valley Cottage, NY
Job Type: Full-Time
Work Arrangement: On-Site
The Civil Sales Engineer will support the overall design and technical sales effort for a broad range of products, including precast concrete products, waterworks supplies, pipe, castings, geotextiles, and related construction materials.
This role will provide technical and sales support to customers throughout the Tri-State area, including contractors, municipalities, industry, and homeowners. The position combines estimating, project take-offs, CAD drafting, technical documentation, and customer interaction.
Key ResponsibilitiesPerform estimating and project quantity take-offs
Provide sales and technical support to customers
Prepare:
Proposals
Purchase orders
Submittal documents
Other technical sales documentation
Prepare CAD drawings for precast concrete products
Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
Communicate regularly with:
Contractors
Consulting engineers
Government entities
Public agencies
Customers
Internal teams
Obtain approval for submittal drawings
Support sales, engineering, production, and product development activities
Coordinate technical requirements and documentation throughout the sales process
Maintain accurate and organized project records
Manage multiple projects and priorities while meeting deadlines
Proficiency with AutoCAD required
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite required
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings required
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to communicate professionally with engineers, contractors, public agencies, customers, and internal teams
BS in Civil Engineering, Civil Engineering Technology, or related field preferred
Construction experience preferred
Precast concrete design experience preferred
Experience with Adobe Pro preferred
Experience with estimating, project take-offs, or technical sales preferred
