Description

Civil Construction Project Manager

Manage all phases of civil construction projects from pre-construction through closeout. Develop project schedules, budgets, and execution plans. Coordinate with owners, engineers, subcontractors, suppliers, and municipal agencies. Monitor project progress and ensure adherence to scope, budget, and timeline. Lead project meetings and communicate project status to internal and external stakeholders. Review plans, specifications, contracts, and change orders. Negotiate subcontractor agreements and manage vendor relationships. Ensure compliance with OSHA safety regulations and company safety policies. Track project costs, forecasts, and financial performance. Oversee procurement of materials and equipment. Resolve project issues proactively to minimize delays and cost overruns. Maintain project documentation, reporting, and closeout requirements. Support business development efforts and client relationship management.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of project management experience within heavy civil, site development, utilities, roadway, drainage, or infrastructure construction.
  • Strong understanding of civil construction methods, means, and best practices.
  • Experience managing projects ranging from $1M to $20M+.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, Procore, Primavera P6, or similar project management software.
  • Knowledge of local, state, and federal construction regulations.
  • Excellent organizational, leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites throughout Central New Jersey.
