Due to continued growth within MSG's Civil/Municipal Division, we are seeking a Project Engineer to join our Municipal Services team in Columbus, Ohio. This role is ideal for a civil engineer who enjoys working on community-focused infrastructure projects and collaborating across multiple technical disciplines.
You'll work alongside licensed engineers to support the planning, design, and delivery of water and wastewater systems, roadways, stormwater infrastructure, and recreational facilities for municipalities throughout the Midwest.
Key Responsibilities
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field
EIT (EI) certification in Ohio required; PE preferred
2+ years of relevant municipal or site development experience
Practical experience in design and plan preparation for site development and municipal projects
Working knowledge of industry design standards, guidelines, and specifications
(City of Columbus, surrounding counties, ODOT, etc.)
Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D or MicroStation (grading experience required)
Experience preparing Hydraulic/Hydrologic reports strongly preferred
Roadway design and survey experience is a plus
Strong technical writing and documentation skills
Comfortable communicating with clients, reviewing agencies, and internal project teams
