Selectek is searching for a Civil Engineer with a PE to design and work on land development projects for Corp, Higher Education, and Government Projects in the Kennesaw, GA area.
Preferred candidate has experience supervising staff and be willing to assist the CE Manager as needed in providing leadership/support to the Engineers.
Job Description:- Prepare civil design / construction plans, including notes and details, plans.
- Create and submit project permitting packages.
- Prepare construction cost estimates.
- Prepare contract documents suitable for bidding.
- Follow QA/C Quality process, overall and engineering department.
- Keep up with timekeeping and reporting daily, submitting weekly timesheets at the end of every week.
- Communicate with clients, vendors, and contractors effectively as required for job execution. Represent company in a professional and positive manner in all communications, whether written or verbal.
- Follow company file management procedures in maintaining project documentation.
- Produce and review technical specifications and reports
- Attend project and company meetings as directed by team leads or manager
- Train and direct engineering interns or less experienced engineers.
- Identify training opportunities to continually improve and participate in them as directed by manager.
- Participate in project site visits and facility audits as necessary to support projects.
- Provide feedback on company policies and procedures to continually improve company efficiencies.
Required:- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering with 7 plus years of experience
- Experience with site grading, layout, drainage, water, sewer, earthwork and sediment control for civil site design
- AutoCAD Civil 3D Proficiency
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- PE License
