Description

We are seeking a highly motivated Civil Construction Project Engineer to join a growing construction team delivering complex civil infrastructure projects. This role will support project delivery from pre-construction through completion, ensuring projects are executed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Our client is a leading civil construction contractor with a strong reputation for delivering large-scale infrastructure, site development, utility, roadway, and heavy civil projects. Due to continued growth and a strong project pipeline, they are looking to add a Project Engineer to support upcoming and ongoing projects.

Description

  • Assist Project Managers with the successful delivery of civil construction projects.
  • Prepare and maintain project schedules, budgets, forecasts, and progress reports.
  • Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, consultants, and field personnel.
  • Review engineering drawings, specifications, contracts, and project documentation.
  • Support procurement activities including material take-offs, purchasing, and equipment coordination.
  • Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and document control processes.
  • Monitor project performance, identifying risks and solutions to maintain project objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, environmental requirements, and quality standards.
  • Conduct site visits and collaborate closely with field teams to resolve construction issues.
  • Assist with project closeout activities including punch lists, as-built documentation, and final reporting.

Profile

A successful Civil Project Engineer should have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in civil construction, heavy civil, infrastructure, site development, utilities, transportation, or related projects.
  • Strong understanding of construction methodologies, engineering principles, and project management practices.
  • Experience working with project management software and scheduling tools.
  • Ability to interpret engineering plans, specifications, and contract documents.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and construction management platforms.
  • EIT certification preferred but not required.
  • Driven, detail-oriented, and eager to grow within a dynamic construction environment.
